Install on macOS

macOS install, including the PlayerDebugMode flag.

Updated · May 14, 2026

Mac install mirrors Windows but with one extra step: you need to unlock CEP's third-party extension flag.

1. Download the ZXP

Sign in and grab the .zxp from the Downloads page.

2. Install a ZXP installer

3. Install the ZXP

Open Extension Manager and drag the .zxp in. Install finishes in seconds.

4. Enable PlayerDebugMode (important)

macOS doesn't open self-signed third-party extensions by default. Run this one-time Terminal command:

defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.12 PlayerDebugMode 1
defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.11 PlayerDebugMode 1

Running both keys covers Premiere Pro 2024 (CSXS 11) and 2025 (CSXS 12).

5. Restart Premiere Pro

Quit Premiere fully (Cmd + Q), then re-open.

6. Open the panel

Window → Extensions → DragMotion

The panel will open with the sign-in screen.

Still not opening?

See Mac panel won't open for advanced steps.
